Declaration of Guadalajara

Through the declaration signed in Guadalajara the project partners call on the cities in Latin America and Europe to stabilize social and territorial cohesion in inner urban development by means of “integrative planning and realization” in order to care for the well-being of their community members in relation to a sustainable development. Inner urban development should be created efficiently and sustainable for future generations. Therefore land recycling and inner urban development need to be promoted. In the face of the constant economic and demographic change city centers should be designed in a live-worthy, attractive and environmentally sound manner. Circular economy of land ensures resource-friendly remodeling of the city centers.
